Lord Huang
Born on the 26th Day of the 3rd Month of the Traditional Calendar Lord Huang was a northern barbarian born during the Tang dynasty. He earned a living by hunting and had no home. He later swore allegiance to the Tang dynasty and was rewarded, for his military valor, with a governorship over Cangzhou City by the Tang Emperor Xizong in the first year of his Imperial reign. Lord Huang would live and safeguard Cangzhou City for 23 years, and died at the age of 39 when the city was assaulted and taken. For his deeds, the Emperor granted him a posthumous name of Huang Xianci. After deification, Lord Huang would receive the Verdict of the Jade Emperor and be honored as a 2nd Tier Metropolitan Candidate. |
