Seven Provinces Lord Su
A Biography of the Heavenly Viceroy of Seven Provinces Lord Su, born on the 12th Day of the 10th Month of the Traditional Calendar The Chief Deity of Jhen Hai Kung Temple Palace is Lord Su, Heavenly Viceroy of Seven Provinces. Lord Su was personally named by the Jade Emperor of the Heavens to act as His Regent and was granted the title of the 2nd Tier Metropolitan Candidate (hence granting Him the power to hold jurisdiction across Seven Provinces, leading some to call him the Seventh Lord) and the task to watch over Jhen Hai Kung. Lord Su came over on a Nan'ao ship and settled at Taijian Fu of Lunzaiding during the reign of the Qing Emperor Kangxi. A Holy Medium revealed that Lord Su "has the surname of Su, a name of Dehua and a formal name Wen'yi; he was born on the 12th Day of the 10th Month in the year 589 and died in the year 617 in battle at Queshu Valley at the age of 27 years." As a result of his loyalty and righteousness, the Heavens took his spirit to the Celestial Court and granted Him a position in the Heavens.
