60th Cim – Guihai – of the Water Element favoring Winter – The North is blessed

The rays of the moon were once pure white,

But once blocked the sun it loses its color,

Those at home should look to charity,

While those in office must provide justice to obtain fortune.

Intepretation:

When the moon comes out, its rays were initially pure white. However, once blocked by the clouds it will lose its pure color. Those at home should focus their mind on charities while those in office must carry out their duties fairly to receive benefits. This cim tells the recipients that most undertakings do not produce the expected results. Even the pure white moon may sometimes be blocked by a dark cloud. But the moon does not feel unjust when blocked. Instead, focus on performing charities and refining your soul, for once the dark cloud retreats, the light will be even brighter and beauteous to behold.

For pleas of wealth, those who work hard will have no problem gaining wealth.

For pleas of academic success, one must work harder in self improvement to have a chance of success.

For undertakings, so long as one works hard, success will be achieved.

For pleas of marital matters, the sign of a moon covered by clouds will mean obstacles in marriage.

Travelers must be careful; it is best to call off the trip.

For inquiries on moving, one must think about the matter carefully.

For legal matters, have no fear.

For lost items, recovery is possible if this cim is drawn while the moon shines.

For ailments, youths may find themselves in danger; the elderly need not fear.

Business undertakings will be profitable later. Visitors will arrive while the moon shines. Shipping will provide minor fortune (for certain). Moving should be postponed. Lost items can be recovered while the moon shines. Pleas for rain will arrive in a few days. Legal affairs will need no fear. Livestock will not be profitable; a loss may be incurred.
