Those who need to worry while sick,

Should stop worrying as perfection is hard to come by,

The past should be left in the past,

Keeping matters to the heart will only wear you down.


Intepretation:

It is indeed suffering if one needs to worry about thigns when sick. However, it is near impossible to find a matter that has been perfectly executed. The past is the past, and there is no need to keep replaying the events. Just get rid of matters weighing down the heart. The main purpose of this poem is to comfort the recipient and to widen one’s heart and focus on health and recovery. It is said that so long as the forested mountain is there, one need not worry about firewood. Failures are expected in life. But those who obsess over them and keep them on the mind will do nothing of value and even damages one’s health. Why should anyone torture themselves so?

For pleas of wealth, fortune has not arrived; worrying is not going to help, so just follow the natural course of events.

For pleas of academic success, poor results will be expected; chances for success are not great.

For pleas of marital matters, success may not come easily.

Traveling and moving should both be avoided.

For ailments, one will undergo danger but recovery will come later.

For pregnancy inquiries, a girl will be born, followed by a boy.

For pleas of legal matters, know that delays might occur.

General affairs should be approached carefully (those who succeed will still meet misfortune). Undertakings will face difficulties. Family affairs will have minor fortune in the household. Family fortune are ordinary, but without residences. Marital affairs should not be made. Pleas for children will not be favored (lacking the foundations to rear them). Pregnancies will result in a girl followed by a boy (or a boy; no pleas are necessary for a child). Pleas for wealth will not be answered. Pleas for academic success are difficult to achieve (but still in sight). The Age Lords are in relative comfort. Ailments wil face calamities followed by fortune. Travelers should wait for opportunities at home. Business undertakings will be tiresome and demanding. Visitors will arrive on the day of Wei (half-moon). Shipping will provide no profit. Moving will not be favored. Lost items can be recovered on the day of Wei (half-moon) (though there is no where to look for it). Pleas for rain will not arrive yet. Legal affairs will be delayed (with possible financial loss). Livestock should not be collected or sold. The crops are neither favored nor calamitous (with either no harvest or partial-harvest). Construction will be fraught with illnesses and not favored. Burials and resting places are neither favored nor calamitous. Fishermen will see no profit. Fisheries will be hopeless and lose out on profits. Hatcheries will not be profitable and incur financial losses. The monthly commands will not be as expected. Lost persons will write letters that are still far away. Letters from afar needs to be waited for patiently.
