Those who wish to go to the Yangtze must cross its vast waters,

However, the boat sails have no wind to catch,

It is better to put your efforts at home before striking fortune,

And see if there is a chance for the fish to frequent the waters again.


Intepretation:

Those who wish to travel must cross the vast waters of the Yangtze River. But many of them will find that their sails have not caught any wind. It is better to stay put at home and one’s efforts there, for there might be a fortune there after all, meeting an opportunity like a fish meets water.

Recipients of this cim must know that staying put is better than traveling around. Travelers may face many obstacles and often fail to achieve their goals. Any trips should be put off. Various undertakings should adopt a defensive stance. People should take care of their actions and words and think of a way to safeguard what they have.

For pleas of wealth, know that it will eventually arrive but do not worry or rush into things.

For inquiries on moving, know that it is not favored; fortune is favoring an old business at home.

For pleas of academic success, a retry may be necessary for any hope.

For marriages, know that it will not be favored; those not in love yet is advised to seek another candidate.
