26th Cim – Wuyin – of the Earth Element favoring the whole year – Every direction is blessed

Choose the first peony,

And do not hesitate,

For a lovely flower is hard to find,

And more so a fitting spring.

Intepretation:

There is another poem that goes “a beautiful flower in blossom should be plucked, do not wait till it has wilted”. And thus, the first peony that you have set your eyes on, do not hesitate and seize the opportunity. If one must ask where a companion may be sought, then do so in spring, for everything has its season. Do not wait till spring has past and the flowers are gone. The poem makes a metaphorical advice, telling people not to miss opportunities. It is said that “the best talents will create opportunities; the second rate talents will make use of opportunities; and those who miss opportunities have no taent”. Thus, those receiving such cim should seize the moment and strive to be at least a second rate talent. Do not prove yourself unworthy by missing out.

For pleas of wealth, know that it will be answered but opportunities must be seized; those who miss it will also miss a chance at making a fortune.

For ailments, know that the Gods are watching over you and so have no fear.
