25th Cim – Wuzi – of the Fire Element favoring Summer – The South is blessed

Everyone exhausts their mind and body over their future,

Asking the gods and saints repeatedly,

But just see how the days of rooster and hound go past,

And know that neither fortune nor instruction needs to be begged.

Intepretation:

The future will be as what fate has decreed. One simply needs to do his/her best and strive hard. He/she need not waste time or effort asking the Gods for a sign. Matters that need to be taken care of would bear news after the day of Youxu, so ask the Gods no more. The poem tells the recipients that the problems he/she is facing must be taken care of by his/her efforts and not through divine intervention. The rooster is You, and the hound is Xu. The critical day would be the day of Youxu, where results will be seen. The cim advises that one stay put instead of rushing about, hence those asking about traveling or moving should know that neither is favored.

For pleas of academic success, know that one must rely on his/her own hard work. Those who are ill-prepared and hope for fortune or divine assistance should know that there is little hope for success using such means.

For pleas of marital matters, so long as the two are sincerely in love wit each other, then there is a chance that they are united as a couple. There was once an incident in which a person hopes to find a lost friend with whom contact was lost. This cim was received in Mazu’s Temple, and indeed the friend was found on the day of Xu.

For pleas of wealth, know that summer is favored.

For pleas of legal matters, know that a settlement will be the best.

For pleas of academic success will not see success.

For pregnancies, a boy will be born followed by a girl.

For ailments, know that once autumn is past, there should be no need for fear.

General affairs can be undertaken and harmonious ones will prosper. Undertakings will see success after a delay. Family affairs are neither favored nor calamitous. Family fortune will see that the residence is increasingly difficult to live in. Marital affairs will not be favored and union may be difficult. Pleas for children should not be made. Pregnancies should be thankful, well-wishing and humbly plead help from the Gods. Pleas for wealth will see minor returns and general misfortune. Pleas for academic success will not be favored. The Age Lords are calm. Ailments will see deep fortunes; patients shall have no fear after the day of Youxu. Travelers should put off their trips. Business undertakings will see poor performance in new businesses while old businesses strike even. Visitors will arrive on the day of Xu. Shipping will see little fortune or returns. Moving should be delayed. Lost items can still be recovered on the days of Ji, Chou, Mao and Xu. Pleas for rain will be answered in the upcoming days of Jia, Zi, Yi and Chou. Legal affairs should be settled quickly (or face calamities). Farm animals should not be collected or sold. The crops will only provide half-harvest. Construction will not see success, those who do will be at peace. Burials and resting places will see disfavor in the burial grounds. Fishermen who are harmonious will receive returns; those in discord will stagnate. Fisheries should just attempt minor returns. Hatcheries will give minor returns. The monthly commands reveal harmony in the second half of the year. Lost persons will be found after a delay. Letters from afar will arrive slowly.

The Ancients say: Fengjiao falls into a malicious trap asking for Cim at Bodhisattiva’s Temple; Hu Fengjiao goes to Bodhisattiva’s Temple to give joss and ask for signs.
