17th Cim – Bingshen– of the Fire Element favoring Summer – The South is blessed

Old feuds are many and unforgotten,

Family troubles may have yet to touch you,

But one should be ready and be generous,

As the Dragon and Serpent join in force.


Intepretation:

Remembering old feuds may bring back memories of unforgotten hate. Family troubles may not have caused harm to the person, yet he/she would bear hate for a long while. One must be ready to prevent such accidents from happening, and the best solution is to accumulate charitable deeds. Charity will be able to reverse calamity into fortunes. Once the dragon and serpent (day of Chenji) meets, one will attain a welcoming result.

This cim describes metaphorically to the recipient that despite numerous setbacks, bitter experiences and hatred, one should not keep their mind to such matter, but instead look towards the future and endeavor for a comeback, for success will come eventually. Recipients of this cim will meet a blessed person, but they must keep a positive soul. Hence, this cim say that one should “be ready and be generous”. With a gentle soul, one will be able to reverse calamities and disasters into fortune and obtain Heavenly blessing.
